GamePay Scheduling and Payment Solution Adds Additional Conferences
February 18, 2009
GamePay--a scheduling and payment service developed by Partnet for PayOGFE.com--recently added the Ivy League and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to its expanding client list. PayOGFE.com LLC, PayOGFESM, is the provider of choice for organizations paying game officials and other independent contractors working sporting events. GamePay automates and simplifies the entire payment process--from event scheduling and rate definition to financial settlement. The system is designed for ease-of-use without sacrificing the important management controls organizations require in the payment processing of officiating game fees and related expenses.
Using the internet-based GamePay, athletic conferences and universities are able to establish the identity of game officials and the type of sporting events being officiated. Rates are established by an authorized official. Once the event is complete, the authorized official simply logs into GamePay and initiates payment to the game official. Game Pay allows game officials to select preferred method of payment, such as electronic funds transfer or check. GamePay automatically handles per diem expenses, travel reimbursement, and computes the correct tax withholding for all 50 states.
Reliability and security are paramount issues when handling payments and electronic currency. PayOGFE turned to Partnet, Inc. for its expertise in building highly secure and available online systems. GamePay provides redundant protection for all subsystems, allowing transactions to be "rolled back" in the unlikely event of a system failure. The system tracks thousands of transactions and operates on multi-CPU Dell Server machines. These machines not only manage electronic document transmission, but also house Oracle and other application software packages that enable the system to operate as a fully-enabled, web-based system that can be accessed at anytime, anywhere in the world.
Due to its ability to save its customers valuable time and help them better manage their employees and resources, the GamePay scheduling and payment customer base has now grown to eight major NCAA conferences, and several other independent universities.
