Partnet Surveys the Defense Community to Improve Logistics Support
December 9, 2009
Partnet — the industry expert in online marketplaces for government — recently completed a survey targeting registered participants in this month's Defense Logistics 2009 conference in Arlington, Virginia. Over a seven-week period, Partnet invited opinions from all sectors of the defense community — including members of the Armed Services, DOD civilians, and contractors — in an effort to understand evolving Warfighter needs and logisitical best practices. Survey results were distributed at Defense Logistics 2009, and are now available online.
During the conference, Partnet CEO, Don Brown, Ph.D, spoke about Logistics 2.0 — the fusion of today's logistics with modern Web 2.0 capabilities. Dr. Brown envisions a smarter, more responsive approach to DOD supply-chain management through intelligent application of collaborative content, user contribution, two-way communication, among other Web 2.0 concepts.
