Partnet Completes DOD EMALL Migration to DISA Computing Centers

August 10, 2010

Partnet today announced the successful migration of DOD EMALL's secondary environments to the Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The announcement concludes a comprehensive, three-year plan undertaken by Partnet engineers and project managers to enhance system integrity, interoperability, and security for the nation's largest Government eCommerce system.

"The DECC migration ensures that both DOD and civilian agencies can continue to effectively procure their mission-critical supplies more efficiently and securely," said Todd VanderVeen, Director of Federal Commerce Systems at Partnet. "DOD EMALL and its supporting environments are now fully compliant with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) operating standards and security protocols."

Partnet carried out the DOD EMALL migration on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as part of a 2007 mandate requiring secure .mil domains for all public-facing DOD enterprise systems. The mandate further required the transfer of operating authority to DISA. Partnet completed the initial migration and stand-up of the DOD EMALL production environment last April at the DECC facility in Ogden, Utah. With today's announcement, DOD EMALL's testing, development, and Continuity-of-Operations (COOP) environments assume similar postures at the DECC-Mechanicsburg facility.
